double signings

As I said Billy Kee was close to signing and now he has officially signed. We have made another signing on a 3 month loan from Burnley in Luke o’neil.

If anyone knows how good Luke is please comment below and tell me as I really don’t know much about him.

Good signing for the Iron though. All we need now is a creative centre midfielder and our squad will have taken shape big time.

Fleetwood Town (H) preview

This Tuesday we welcome 2014 league two play off winners Fleetwood Town to Glanford Park and we both have had completely different starts to the season.

Fleetwood have won both of their league games and are sitting in play offs spots as we are sat bottom of the league conceding seven goals in two games and only scoring one. Opening game of the season Fleetwood beat Crewe Alexandra at home with a 2-1 score line with David ball scoring first and new signing Jamie Procter scored on his home debut.

On the second game of the season Fleetwood played Notts County who look to have a much better season then the one last season and Jamie Proctor scored the goal to seal a 1-0 win for Fleetwood.

Two games in and Fleetwood have started of brightly beating two sides who last season were around the relegation zone and will be high in confidence when the come to Glanford Park.

Fleetwood are a side managed by former Scunthorpe player Graham Alexander, who has got them playing an attractive style of football and even though we drew 0-0 at Glanford Park last season and we beat them are their ground they were the best side we played last season for me and deserved to win both times.

The Iron need a win on Tuesday and if we don’t pick up a win it leaves us in some trouble and more pressure as some of the fans are loosing faith in manager Russ Wilcox which is bizarre really as we are only two games in to the season. A win on Tuesday would give the Iron to kick their season of as at the minute other then beating Blackburn in the Capital one cup it has been a lacklustre start.

Will we turn up on Tuesday or will we get played off the park again?

Who I would start on Tuesday:

Slocombe

Nolan       Canavan   Addison   o’neil

Myrie-Williams  McAllister Bishop     Hawkridge

Taylor     Kee

(Line up has been edited again due too new signings)

I would leave Paddy out as he has gone missing last two games and looks fairly poor at the miniute but no doubt we will start two strikers and probably get out numbered in the middle of the park.

Up the Iron!

Billy Kee close to signing for Scunthorpe United

th

Peter Swann has come out and said that Scunthorpe are close to signing Billy Kee and are hopeful the deal will be done by today.

If we sign Billy Kee it would be a great signing but I fear we are buying in the wrong position. A central midfielder is key and there is no sign of us bringing on in.

BIlly Kee would be a good partner to Taylor or Paddy but now we have four strikers who all want first team football and we have to handle that. The problem is if one is in form you can’t drop him which only means you can rotate one striker.

Hopefully, Billy will be the first of a few signings to come as our squad hasn’t preformed yet.
